SUGGESTED FIRE ALARM PROCEDURE

IF YOU SMELL SMOKE BUT THE ALARM HAS NOT SOUNDED CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY. GO TO A PULL STATION, IN THE HALLWAY, AND ACTIVATE TH ALARM. If possible call the office @ 368-1633

SIGNS OF FIRE

If the door feels WARM/HOT –DO NOT OPEN IT

Place a wet rolled up towel at the bottom of the door.

Try to remain as calm as possible and wait for help.

Call 911 to give them your address and inform them that you are waiting in your home.

NO SIGNS OF FIRE
If you are in your home and HEAR AN ALARM.
- Exit as swiftly as possible.
- If there is time, take a moment to consider the weather conditions and grab necessary gear.
- Be sure to feel all doors before opening.
- If the door is cool, open the door and observe the hallway.
- Grab a flashlight and exit the building.
- Proceed with caution down the nearest stairwell.
- DO NOT USE THE ELEVATOR
- Move as far away from the building as possible
- Keep a cleared path for Firefighters
- Wait for the Fire Department to give the all cleared before returning to your home
